Zargis Medical Corp. (www.zargis.com), a spin-off of Siemens, is a small, dynamic medical device firm focused on the development of software-based technologies for diagnostic screening and telemedicine. Zargis was formed in 2001 to develop and market Zargis Cardioscan™—a groundbreaking software-based technology designed to detect heart abnormalities through the analysis of heart sounds.
In August 2009, as part of an exclusive multi-year global marketing alliance between Zargis and 3M, the two companies jointly launched Cardioscan and the compatible 3M™ Littmann® Electronic Stethoscope Model 3200. In November 2009 Cardioscan and the Model 3200 were named “2009 Innovation of the Year” by Popular Science.
Position Location: Zargis Medical`s executive offices in Stamford, CT. CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCAL.
Position Description: We are seeking a capable and highly motivated self-starter who is excited about the prospect of helping drive the development and global adoption of new and groundbreaking medical technologies and eager to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment. In this role you will support all aspects of marketing, product development and company operations. Tasks will include everything from database management and software testing to online research and administrative responsibilities such as packaging and shipping.
Required Time Commitment: 20 hours per week (with the potential for permanent, full-time employment).
Requirements:
• B.S. or B.A. from top university.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• A roll-up-your-sleeves, can do attitude.
• Excellent computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and online research.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• 2-3 years professional work experience a plus.
